Based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, or Saint-Bruno, Quebec, you will be responsible to lead the Project Core Team in Contractual Obligation Management, Contract Administration and Claim Management. You will support the project manager in complying with all contractual requirements and the identification, communication and negotiation with the customer and with partners of all commercial related issues. You will also support the procurement manager in the identification, communication and negotiation with suppliers of all commercial related issues.

In your role you will:
  • Ensure that all Project Team Members have read, understood and act according to the agree contracts;
  • Monitor that obligations of and towards all contractual partners are met in time;
  • Continuously seek challenges and opportunities to identify and propose actions;
  • Contribute to grow project scope, revenue and margins, or the avoidance of slippage of the same, through effective administration of the contract and the implementation of variation orders and claim management processes;
  • Participate in project review meetings, risk mitigation meetings where appropriate and any forum which may detect or review early warning indications of problems or delays;
  • Review all arguments, options, etc. and challenge the respective functions before any internal decisions is taken on any potential offensive claim and before any statement is submitted to the opponent;
  • Monitor, validate and question the work done in each section of the claim in relation to provisions and the agreed contract;
  • Establish and implement, jointly with the Project Manager, the project commercial strategy towards the customer and partners;
  • Establish, communicate and manage the Contractual Obligation Management Process and ensure that Project Change Management is fully integrated;
  • Ensure, together with the Financial Controller, that the required bonds and insurance are put in place as well as the timely preparation and agreement of invoices and payment request;
  • Liaise with Contracts and Legal Affaires on all matters requiring their involvement including the reporting of all claims according to internal reporting rules.

Qualifications
As our ideal candidate:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying or Business or a combination of these or a relevant field;
  • You cumulate a minimum of six (6) years of experience in a relevant role;
  • You possess experience in complex contracts (services and design), specifications;
  • Your experience related the rail industry sector, heavy manufacturing and heavy customization would be considered as a valuable asset;
  • Your international experience will be considered as a an asset;
  • Your English Communication skills are excellent both written and spoken.

Husky Tags Rycroft requires two workers to work at a gas station/ convenience store in Rycroft, Alberta, Canada. The worker must have basic English skills. Company will assist you in locating accommodation. Company is located on a major intersection of highways and serves mostly the traveling public. Village is located in lush farming country, that also is very close to our forests and only 30 minutes from the city. Our starting wage is $11.65 per hour and positions are for full time, and for five shifts per week. Company can schedule so a person can have longer periods off to travel in the county. We would pick up staff from either Edmonton International airport (5 hrs away) or Grande Prairie (30 Minutes away).

Company requires persons who are curious and like working with the public.
